Who We Are

My Life Matters is a private practice owned by Lowerstine Nelson. My Life Matters offers ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Services, Life Coaching Skills, RBT Supervision and will soon be offering Clinical Mental Health Counseling.   

We are an ABA provider located in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, licensed by Medicaid for the entire state of Missouri. My Life Matters recognized the need for ABA services and the extremely long wait list, with hopes to reach more families and individuals during their time of need. We are currently accepting clients for ABA services, Life coaching skills, and RBT supervision. My Life Matters accepts Mo Health Net, Healthy Blue, BH Medicaid from Home State Health, BH Ambetter from Home State Health, BH Wellcare by Allwell and Private Pay. 

Meet Our Current Team: 

Lowerstine has a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a PBCBA who is preparing for certification as a BCBA. Lori has 14+ years experience of working in different settings within the field, from direct support staff, RBT, Program Coordinator, BCaBA, in-home counseling and in clinical facilities. She has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, MR, Compulsive disorders, Explosive Disorders, extreme behaviors such as physical aggression, suicidal ideation/attempts, self-injurious behaviors, severe property destruction and other behavioral issues. Lowerstine also brings experience in addressing social anxiety, depression, narcissism, and other mental health concerns. Mentoring for life's goals is also offered with skills in this area.

Nelena Nelson is a mother of two and is a currently employed as a Program Coordinator while undergoing her training to become a board certified RBT. She has 7years experience in working with individuals with highly intensive behaviors and caregiver training. She was introduced to ABA while working first as a direct support staff in self-contained ISL homes and has been developing a love for learning more ever since. Nelena is receiving her RBT coursework from Behavior University.
